Prevent duty awareness Safeguarding reporting Recognising abuse signs Online safety support Legal ethical responsibilities

If you’re planning to work in local government, schools, colleges, the uniformed services, or health and social care, you need to know about safeguarding and the Prevent duty. The goal is simple, really. These responsibilities should show up in your everyday work, not just when you’re doing training.

Course Overview

Back in 2019, 5,738 people were referred to the Prevent programme, and the education sector made up 33% of those referrals. Safeguarding matters in almost every job where you might be supporting children, young people, or vulnerable adults.

This Level 2 qualification, which is widely recognised across the UK, covers a range of safeguarding topics. You’ll look at how to spot possible signs of abuse, what your legal and ethical duties are, how to put clear reporting steps in place, and how to help protect the safety and wellbeing of children and young adults.
