Young people have made it easier to talk openly about mental health, which is a real win. But what they experience does not always stay in childhood. This course helps you understand children’s mental wellbeing and, more importantly, how to support them.
Understanding Children and Young People's Mental Health
Skills covered in this course
Course Overview
Many children deal with mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, and behaviour-related difficulties, and those concerns often connect to what’s going on in their day-to-day lives.
A child’s emotional wellbeing matters just as much as their mental health, so anyone working with children and teenagers needs a clear grasp of mental health basics, key risk factors, and the real effects these issues can have.
