Want to build your career in IT? The Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Information Technology is a 60-credit qualification (roughly the same as one A level). The aim is simple: help you gain the practical skills and background knowledge you need either to work in IT or to carry on with further study.
IT isn’t optional for most businesses anymore. Companies rely on technology to stay ahead, improve what they offer, and deliver better experiences for customers. With more organisations spotting the advantages of tech, the need for trained and specialised IT professionals keeps growing.
Content to show/hideThis qualification is set up so you can steadily build your understanding of the sector and strengthen your current skills. You’ll cover areas like computer systems, networks, coding, website development, mobile communications, cybersecurity, and how social media can be used in business.
There are 6 modules on this Level 3 programme, and you’ll complete 6 written assignments. For each module, you’ll work through 40 guided learning hours. On top of that, you’ll have another 30 to 50 hours of optional study activities, including practice tasks, recommended reading, internet resources, and self-check activities.
