How it works
You can begin the IGCSE Biology course whenever you like. Everything is delivered online, so you’re in control of your timetable and learning pace. The goal is simple: give you a strong understanding of biology, plus the study skills you’ll need later for further education or a science career.
Each subject includes structured guided learning time. On top of that, you can use helpful extra materials like suggested exercises, readings, digital resources, and self-check questions.
To get your IGCSE, you’ll sit written exams at an approved exam centre. Once you’re ready, you can look up exam centres and find the right place to attend.
To complete the course, you’ll have 1-2-1 tutor support and access to all the materials you need. If you pass, you will receive an IGCSE Biology qualification. That qualification is designed to help you move forward to A Levels, higher education, science-based careers, or a Level 3 programme through Online Business School.
Throughout the course, you’ll also have extra learning support, including webinars, community learning forums, and more resources to help you stay on track.

Sitting the Exam
First, find an exam centre in your country that allows private candidates. Once you’ve identified a suitable centre, register with them and make sure you complete any required payments.
Before exam day, double-check that your statement of entry is correct. Also bring the right, valid identification to every exam. If you have questions at any stage, keep in touch with your centre or exam provider. This includes asking about special access arrangements.
After your exams, let the centre or exam provider know if you need special consideration. You’ll collect your results and certificates from them, and if needed, you can apply for a review of marking or an appeal through the centre or exam provider.

Am I eligible for this programme?
Most learners take the IGCES around ages 14 to 16, but the course is open to anyone who is over 14. You do not need any previous qualifications to join in, either.
Career Progression
After finishing this course, you’ll have the foundational knowledge you need to go on to A Levels or a Level 3 qualification with Online Business School.
