Housing Practice is an occupational pathway that asks you to build the right knowledge, understanding, and practical skills for working in housing. For most people, that focus is on customer service. This qualification gives you a solid introduction to housing, and it also brings in the key skills and knowledge you’ll need if you want to take part in housing related activities.
You’ll also be supported to move on to further vocational study, including a Level 3 qualification.

This course is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Housing, the main professional organisation for people working in housing. They were awarded a Royal Charter back in 1984.
Progression Opportunities
If you successfully complete this qualification, you’ll be ready to move on to the Level 3 Certificate in Housing Practice. After finishing the Level 3 certificate, you can apply to become a certified practitioner member of CIH.
