“The Baby Planner Profession: What You Need to Know.” On top of that, Mar was the first to create and introduce an international Baby Planner Certification, offered in English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese.
So, what exactly is a Baby Planner?
A baby planner works as a private consultant for pregnancy and the postpartum period. They meet with expecting parents and new parents to share education, helpful resources, and steady support, so clients can make choices with confidence. Depending on the client’s needs, they may also suggest products, services, and additional learning opportunities to help guide the process.
Baby planners help expecting and new parents reach decisions that fit their own values, goals, and situation. They do that by offering support and education in a balanced, non-biased way. The approach is tailored, because every family is different, whether they’re planning ahead, navigating pregnancy, or moving through what comes after birth. “Some parents may want to understand the differences between a Bradley, Lamaze, or HypnoBirthing class. Others might be trying to decide whether they want a birthing doula or a postpartum doula. A few families need help picking registry items, while others prefer to do their own research. Either way, what matters is that a baby planner doesn’t guess what you need. They listen, learn your situation, and shape their support around you.
Baby planners can work with clients across the full stretch of pregnancy and postpartum, or they might meet for a handful of sessions, depending on what the family is looking for.
