Skills covered in this course

mental health awareness stress and anxiety understanding depression PTSD and schizophrenia neurodiversity support

In this course, you’ll get a clear idea of what people mean when they talk about mental health and mental ill health, with a strong focus on men’s mental health.

Course Overview

Since 2009, the number of men having suicidal thoughts has risen dramatically, doubling over that time. Even though more men than ever are willing to talk to a therapist when they feel anxious, down, or overwhelmed, we still have a lot to do to make sure men get the right support for their mental health.

When you finish this course, you’ll receive the 'Level 2 Certificate in Awareness of Mental Health Problems'. Please note: if you already hold a Level 2 Certificate in Awareness of Mental Health Problems, you won’t be able to enrol on this course.

And while more men are now more likely to book an appointment with a therapist when they’re feeling worried or low, there’s still a long way to go to ensure men are properly supported with their mental health. When you complete this course you’ll be awarded the 'Level 2 Certificate in Awareness of Mental Health Problems'.
